"Sonrisas provided the content and structure to create delightful Spanish classes for our own children and other children in our community. Once familiar with the curriculum, I found it is easy to adapt it for specific classes and ages. I just put the word out to the home-schooling community and our neighborhood and ended up teaching for years. I embrace the Sonrisas philosophy of utilizing one's whole body and senses and different parts of the mind to learn language while having a great time. Adding culture to the mix makes it even stronger since language and culture are inextricably linked. What a gift."

Hundreds of homeschooling families and coops use Sonrisas Spanish School to teach homeschool Spanish.
Sonrisas does not have a separate homeschool curriculum. You still use Sonrisas Level I, Level II, and the Cultural Curriculum, but we want you to know why the Sonrisas Spanish School curricula are ideal for homeschool Spanish:
It is important to know that with Sonrisas the teacher must have a working knowledge of Spanish in order to implement the lessons. This mode of learning is much more effective than using a video or computer-based program. If you have a Spanish-speaking parent in your homeschool group, this is ideal. Other groups pool their resources and hire a Spanish-speaking teacher.
